Friday, February 14, 2003. Some ‘Donald Wyman’ crabapples, still holding onto their berries, wait to be transported to the holding yard. We were blessed with a heat wave of sorts—almost 50 degrees! Two days later, we were hit by a late winter snow storm that dumped over two feet of snow on the Washington, D.C. area. Our digging crews were put out of commission for nearly a month.
